Halloween Treat Box Tutorial

Wouldn't it be great to give these out on Halloween?

I absolutely love favors of any kind! Treat boxes, bag toppers, you name it - I want one for every season, well, maybe 2...or 3.

I came across a treat box template here, it was the perfect size.
I printed it on white cardstock and scored the lines for folding.

Putting the box together is pretty straignt forward - fold it into a box shape, you'll get it the first try!
I used double sided tape to keep the box together.

Get out your halloween scrapbook paper!
The base of the box is 2 1/2". I cut a strip of the orange paper 2 1/2" wide and wrapped it around the box, trim off the excess. Adhere with double sided tape. I placed the tape on the corners and the rim for a snug fit.

Ahhhhh, finally I purchased the iron fence punch from Martha Stewart.
I love this punch. So, so , so  perfect for Halloween crafts.

Check out my black paper iron fence. Isn't it so cool?

I used double sided tape here as well to attach the iron fence.
Another simple way to trim around the bottom of the treat box is to use a coordinating piece of scrapbook paper or ribbon.

And here's the box after I attached more scrapbook paper, some embelishments and ribbon (just use a hole punch to make 2 holes through both sides of the top and feed the ribbon through and tie in a bow).

Isn't it just so purdy!
