Old Planters...Fresh Look

I've had a couple of wooden planters lying around underneath my back deck for a couple of years now. They've been left out in the elements so they are worse for wear. And a little falling apart, nothing that can't be fixed.

I was looking for something to do this afternoon so I dragged them out, but first I got a big stick and waved it around in front of me to sweep away all the spider webs, and gave them a fresh coat of paint!

I use any kind of paint I have on hand, and I always check the mistints at the building supply store - you can get good paint for real cheap. The one I used today has primer already in it - perfect! And I love the color too!

Here's the first coat. It covers pretty good.

I went to pick up some fall mums to put in the planters,  I love mums...I can't wait until they bloom!

And here they are in the planters, sweet! Love it!
