A Nautical Basket

I am on a nautical kick, it's my
favorite decor style.
I picked up a mis-tint at the hardware
store for $5, it was the most beautiful navy,
definitely a nautical navy! I went right to town painting
the exterior of this rattan basket.

Here is the before...

Just a typical rattan basket.
I used to keep magazines in this.
Now I keep nautical things in it!

I simply painted the outside of the basket
using a craft brush, let it dry
and filled it with a lantern, a boat, a starfish
 and some sea shells.

I made a cute little banner out of red scrapbook
paper and yellow ric rac...I just hot glued the
triangles to the ric rac and attached
it to the lantern.

I'm always camera happy, I love taking pics!
