Halloween Glass Blocks with Lights

I loved putting this project together. The pictures really do not do it justice. These glass block are just stunning.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the words on adhesive vinyl.

I wrapped this fantastic ribbon around the sides and into a bow on the top.

The purple mini lights and tulle inside the block give the perfect amount of shimmer.

I absolutely love it!

Here`s another saying
Trick or Treat

I gotta say, I love this ribbon!

The orange glow is so perfect!

The possibilities are endless...these would be perfect for Christmas too!

For those of you that do not have a vinyl cutting machine, adding stickers to the front is a perfect alternative.
These ones are great

  2. How cute are these?! Love them. Did you cut a hole to plug the lights in or are they battery operated?

    1. Hi sarah,
The glass blocks have holes pre cut in the bottom and come with a plug to feed your cord into. The opening is pretty big, so you could fit a fair sized object inside.

  7. So cute may I ask a question?
To put lights and tulle inside where did you make the hole? And how much is it large? I made one of these blocks last year for Christmas but I think that I made some mistakes...the hole wasn't too big it was big enough to put inside very small lights and I made it on the face of the glassblock that wasn't painted.
    Thank you
    Marta

  23. I love these - so beautiful...definitely something else to add to our Halloween/Fall project list :)

Just a thought, but if you can't find these with pre-cut holes, you could always buy the battery powered light sets and hide the battery box inside with ribbon...
