Mom & Daughter Sweater Pillows

I know, I know, sweater pillows have been done and done again a million times. I have been wanting to try them for ages and I just kept putting it off. I have so many pillows as it is and I know what my husband was going to say as soon as he sees them, "What, more pillows?".
But I must say, I love the pillows.
Thanks to Steph at Crafting in the Rain, I finally got this project off my to do list.
Steph asked me to be a part of her series "Make a Splash", the project I submitted was the above pillows.

I had these two sweaters in the giveaway pile for a little while (*rhyme!). The white sweater was my daughters and the red sweater was mine.

I already had 2 pillows on hand that I made a couple of years ago and I've gotten tired of them so I cut the sweaters to fit those pillows.

I made 3 flowers out of the trim on the sleeves & neck of the red sweater.
The white sweater has sequins and I thought it looked great as is.

The pillows look kinda valentiney too!

I totally need to do this with the sweater I cut the arms off of in an attempt to make boot socks. That was a fail but I still wanted to do something with the rest of the sweater. This would be the perfect project. Yours are gorgeous!

It doesn't matter how many times they've been done, when they're cute they're cute. Yours are certainly cute. I had to laugh when you told about your hubby. Mine feels the same way. I have such a pillow fetish. We have 11 on our bed right now. I made a quilt for my son's wedding last Aug. Hubs and I were in Walmart. I noticed some cute pillows that matched. As I was tossing them into the cart he pleaded, "Please NO more pillows". I laughted and told him that they wern't staying at our house. I've never seen a happier man. lol! visting from Wow Us Weds. I scrolled up and down saying, "You've got to be kidding me!" You know the average person cannot pull that off right? Oh I have a green sweater I would love to do this with and put in my little office space but I promise it won't be pretty like yours. You did a wonderful job. Hmmmm. Should I or should I....NOT ;-) Side note - may I ask what font you use for Alderberry Hill? I like! Stopping by again today from Katherine's Corner.
