“So many of us watch friends and family fight the fight each and every day. Here are a few facts about the people battling breast cancer (according to Susan G. Komen for the Cure):

The District of Columbia has reported the most incidences of women’s breast cancer, affecting 139,000 women.
5% of breast cancer cases occur in women under 40 In 2011, there will be 39,520 breast cancer deaths.

SignifyPink has partnered with Ladies’ Home Journal to support breast cancer research and awareness through the sales of “Fight Like a Lady” shirts and hats. Each sale will generate a 30 percent donation toward one of three breast cancer awareness organizations, selected by the customer at point of purchase:  American Cancer Society, National Breast Cancer Foundation and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Visit wearethefight.com to make a difference today. Merchandise will be available now through October 31.”

  1. My mom's bff is having her breast removed today because of a lump they found last week. Her outlook is positive but it can be so devastating! Thanks for the post :)
