Halloween Treat Bag Toppers

My daughter and I were doing a little crafting over the weekend and we made some Halloween Bag Toppers. I didn't take pics of the process because it's pretty straight forward and the size of your bag topper depends on the size of your treat bag.

Here are the supplies that you need:

- Card Stock
- Scrapbook Paper
- Baggies
- Ink
- Stamps
- Double sided tape
- Any embellishments like glitter!
- Liquid glue for glitter
- CANDY!

My baggies were 4" in width, I purchased them in the craft section of the dollar store.

I knew I wanted my topper to be 2" in height so I cut my black cardstock down to 4" x 4". Score at 2" and fold into a tent shape.

Then cut your scrapbook paper just slightly smaller than the cardstock and score this also in the centre, when you glue it to your cardstock there is a nice outer border.

The stamp that I had was roughly 2" x 2", I cut white cardstock to that size and them stamped my image on. I cut my black cardstock slightly larger as a backing for the white.

Position it on your topper. Fill your baggie with your favorite candy and then glue your topper to the baggie using double sided tape. You could also staple your topper to the baggie for a more secure fit.

Add any embellishments you may like & VOILA!

Super quick, super cute & super fun!

  1. Okay, so it's all a matter of perspective. These look like they'd take a long time (for me). And the burlap leaves were really simple, lol. I adore these goody bags! I don't do much with paper or stamps, but now you have my wheels turning!

  6. What cute little bag toppers! I love how a simple topper can make a gift go from homemade to handmade. Also totally jealous of your subway art. Mine's sitting at Costco waiting to be picked up :) Stopping by from Mum of All Trades' linky party.
