Lemonade Stands

Ahhhh....refreshing lemonade.

Freshly Squeezed

Frozen

Fizzy

Raspberry Lemonade

....the list goes on.

Did you know that the average lemon
contains approximately 3 tablespoons of juice?

Remember having a lemonade stand
at the end of your driveway
or on your front lawn when
you were a kid?

I sure do,
but my lemonade stand
didn't look like these...

I am so thirsty now...
I think I'll have a glass of lemonade!

  1. Wow...these are all a far cry from the old card table stand I used when I was a little girl! :)

  3. The lemonade stands of today aren't like ours back in the day because back then our mom's said "go outside and play!" and so we did, and we scrounged together some of her sugar and few packets of koolaid and went out and sold it. We did it ourselves and hadn't yet learned about style. We could have cared less about style back then. We just wanted to make a few dimes to ride our bikes to the 7-11 for candy. Times have changed. Mom's with class and creativity design lemonade stand havens. These are gorgeous and I hope once they are up and running, mom gets to go in and put her feet up and enjoy browsing blogland.

  18. So cute and a far cry from the card table with a little sign hanging off! It's a great way to teach children about a great premise of out nation: capitalism, which is not a "bad" word!

Thank you for sharing your creativity at Potpourri Friday!

  21. I think I used a card table..lol. I didn't even decorate it (gasp I know). I also remember charging quite a bit more than the neighbors to earn more money. I clearly was not business savvy at age 8. I love your inspiration photos.

  23. When I was little, I put a box for a stand, the pitcher full of lemondade and the little paper cups in my wagon and headed towards a corner at the end of the block where I set up to sell my lemonade. I did pretty good until my dad came and packed me up and took me home. Finding out later that I was sat up in front of a bar on the parking lot. I did pretty good that day and later went to the five-and-dime store at that time and bought me a pair of keds shoes. That was alot back then for a small kid. Awe, how I miss the days back then. That was the end of my lemonade stand. Thanks for taking me back to the days. Judith, Texas

  24. I had lemonade stands as a kid, but they never looked like these. They are absolutely adorable. We don't have a good street for it - bummer. We live on a lake htough and have considered setting them up at the end of the dock. LOL
